He was the pupil of Lermoyez, one of the creator of post graduate studi es in France. He followed Etienne Lombard (another pupil of Lermoyez) when run the ORL division at the Laennec Hospital. When Lombard died in 1920 he held the charge. He was an excellent surgeon and gave an important contribution to the French ORL development between 1921 and 1935.
He was one of the founders of the French Laryngological Society and published many articles and monographs arnong which there were sarne of big importance such as those relating to the suppurating complications of the ear.
